Ray Viau   (that's me) was born in Attleboro, MA on March 16, 1947 and grew up in nearby Seekonk and Pawtucket. I've been a Quality Engineer for many years, and have helped many local businesses create their Quality Systems and gain registration to ISO 9000, TS 16949, ISO 14000 or QS-9000.   My interests include bowling, volleyball, writing, graphics, and computer geekdom.

I've also taken an interest in genealogy. After stumbling across one of my family's surnames on the internet, I joined a research-type chat group. I didn't even know my great-grandfather's name. Less than two month's later I knew his hair and eye color, I had a picture of him, I knew three residences he had in Scotland, and I had a copy of the Ship's register when he immigrated to the US. The name was "Fyfe", not "Viau", but before long I was completely enthralled. I have now built a few web pages to document what I have found and I am never finished with them.  If you would like to see what I have done so far, click HERE. 

As for creating this web site, I combined information from various internet sites and my love of graphics with Microsoft Front Page software to create it. The website is sprinkled with my graphics. I do not want to let them go to public domain, so I have issued the standard copyright notice. I would appreciate it if you would not reproduce them without permission. I
